Reflection Meeting with Media Executives, Regulators, and PWD Leadership on Media Inclusivity in Osun State

Event Description

Ahead of the Osun State off-cycle governorship election, TAF Africa, under the European Union Support to Democratic Governance in Nigeria (EU-SDGN) Programme, is convening a high-level reflection meeting with media executives, regulators, and leaders of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) to advance disability- and gender-inclusive media practices. The meeting will provide a platform to review current media practices, promote the adoption of inclusive reporting guidelines, and strengthen collaboration between the media and disability community. Beyond dialogue, the jointly organised intervention in collaboration with the International Press Centre (IPC), the Nigeria Women Trust Fund (NWTF), and the Centre for Media and Society (CEMESO), includes a structured mentorship and follow-up framework to support media organisations in implementing inclusive editorial standards, contributing to more accessible, equitable, and inclusive electoral coverage in Osun State.
