Signing of the Osun State Peace Accord

The Signing of the Osun State Peace Accord is a high-level multi-stakeholder engagement convened by the National Peace Committee, through its Secretariat, The Kukah Centre, with support from the European Union under the Support to Democratic Governance in Nigeria (EU-SDGN) Programme. The event brings together political parties, governorship candidates, electoral management bodies, security agencies, traditional and religious leaders, civil society organisations, development partners, and the media to publicly commit to peaceful, credible, free, and fair elections ahead of the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election. The Peace Accord serves as a platform for promoting issue-based campaigns, non-violence, respect for the rule of law, and collective responsibility for safeguarding peace before, during, and after the electoral process.
