Stakeholders Engagement Meeting with INEC and IDP Camp Coordinators

TAF Africa, in collaboration with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), is convening a two-day Stakeholder Engagement Meeting on the Implementation of the INEC IDP Framework.

The meeting will bring together electoral officials, State Emergency Management Agencies (SEMAs), IDP camp managers, humanitarian organisations, civil society, and the media to strengthen collaboration and develop practical strategies for improving the electoral inclusion of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

Participants will discuss barriers to voter registration, polling unit transfers, PVC collection, voter education, and election-day participation for displaced populations, while identifying coordinated actions to ensure eligible IDPs can fully exercise their right to vote. The meeting will also share lessons from recent IDP mapping and voter registration initiatives and secure stakeholder commitments to implementing inclusive electoral interventions in line with the INEC IDP Framework and international best practices.
