The Stream 1 training for Polling Unit (PU) Observers and Local Government Area (LGA) Supervisors will be conducted simultaneously across 13 designated training centres in Ekiti State. The training is designed to strengthen the technical capacity of election observers and supervisory personnel to effectively monitor the election process in line with the established observation framework. The training will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the election day process, including pre-opening procedures, accreditation, voting, counting, result collation, and the close of polls. Participants will also be trained on the use of standardized observation checklists and reporting tools to ensure systematic, accurate, and timely documentation of election day events and incidents. In addition, the programme will introduce participants to the principles and operational procedures of the Parallel Vote Tabulation (PVT) methodology. The training will cover data collection protocols, transmission procedures, quality assurance measures, and the roles and responsibilities of PU Observers and LGA Supervisors within the PRVT framework. Through practical exercises and scenario-based simulations, participants will be equipped with the skills required to independently observe, verify, and report election day processes in a credible, objective, and professional manner.
