Elections at the local level are important. They form the foundation of grassroots democracy. For these elections to be credible, the process must be transparent and trusted by the public. As a programme, we are pleased to support FOSIECON’s efforts to strengthen local electoral processes and promote inclusive participation.
This year’s National Delegates’ Conference created a valuable space to reflect, engage, and move forward with renewed commitment to integrity, capacity, and collaboration. When local elections work, democratic systems become stronger from the ground up.
