From our participation in the 13th National Delegates’ Conference, one message was clear: improving local electoral processes remains a key priority. State Independent Electoral Commissions are increasingly engaging in shared dialogue and collaborative planning to promote more credible and inclusive elections at the grassroots level.
Concerns such as voter apathy, varied practices, and limited civic engagement persist. However, there is growing attention to voter education and inter-state collaboration, which offer opportunities to improve participation and consistency. Lessons from previous elections are helping to guide forward-looking approaches, and we are pleased to support ongoing efforts in this space.?
